Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking a Data Center Technician to join the Infrastructure Operations team. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain data center IT infrastructure across hardware, fiber, and networking components. You will work with DCO to resolve incidents and ensure safe, reliable operations.

You will be part of a diverse team, supporting shift-based schedules, including nights and weekends, to keep critical services online and costs optimized.

Qualifications

• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience in computer networking and related protocols.
• Proactive problem solving in high-pressure environments.
• Ability to read SOPs and documentation for repairs.
• Experience in a data center or critical environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose hardware and network problems followed by physical repairs.
• Troubleshoot events within internal SLAs and document results.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Manual handling and lifting of equipment up to 18 kg may be required.
• Work at heights as required by operational tasks.
• Perform break-and-fix repairs and server rack decommissions.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues using SOPs and escalate as needed.
• Communicate clearly via tickets and write-ups.
• Support shift-based schedules including nights, weekends and on-call.
