Job summary

Amazon Data Services Emirates LLC is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join the expanding Infrastructure Operations team. You will review data center inventory, manage in-bound shipments, and coordinate with vendors to ensure stock levels meet build and repair activities.

The role requires hands-on work in a high-safety environment, ability to operate powered equipment, and collaboration with procurement and data center engineers to fulfill parts requests quickly and accurately.

Qualifications

• Experience as a logistics professional supporting inventory cycle counts, shipments, maintenance, stock control functions and reverse logistics.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Understand all aspects of operations while adhering to strict safety standards and maintaining very high quality.
• Partner with the Logistics Manager to create plans that optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle - tracking inventory location, movement, age, and turns.
• Work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts requests quickly and accurately.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts, and interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements.
• Maintain regular, ongoing communication with vendors to resolve issues and align them on our business requirements - this requires a strong, high-level communicator.
• Support an environment that operates 24/7.
