Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, development, and implementation of internal and external datasets to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance.
- Develop analytical products and insight solutions to inform strategic and operational decision making.
- Design, maintain, and improve data systems, dashboards, and databases, including data cleaning and preparation.
- Perform data mining from primary and secondary sources and restructure data for effective analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify process improvements and recommend system enhancements.
- Produce research and analysis highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities to improve school and departmental performance.
- Support evaluation and adoption of new data analysis tools and software solutions.
- Contribute to analytics initiatives across shared service departments to increase data value and impact.
- Research and help implement benchmarking systems and analytical frameworks across schools and regions.
- Manage ad hoc projects, monitoring milestones, risks, and delivery timelines.
- Stay current with analytical methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Work closely with internal experts, corporate departments, and external partners to align analytics with organisational priorities.
- Promote and uphold GEMS core values and standards of excellence.
Ideal Profile
- Degree or equivalent experience in statistics, data analysis, or a related discipline.
- Experience using tools such as MS Excel, SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, Azure, MySQL, and Salesforce.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience handling large, complex datasets.
- Proven ability to prepare data, perform quality checks, and advise on data integrity issues.
- Experience presenting clear, concise analysis and data stories to stakeholders at all levels.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and analysis.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
