Job summary

DHL Express UAE is seeking a Credit Collection Specialist to actively manage and coordinate collections for a customer portfolio in line with company policies. You will promote favorable terms, resolve billing issues, and drive timely collections while maintaining meticulous records.

The role requires strong communication, customer service orientation, and experience in collections, with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Experience with DHL Express preferred.
• Good telephone conversation/handling skills.

• Previous Collection experience is preferred.
• Bachelors in Commerce / Accounts.

Responsibilities

• Promote DHL trading terms and ensure adherence by customers.
• Resolve recurring billing issues with knowledge and expertise.
• Maximize collection effectiveness from all customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain efficient records of collection activities.
• Drive debt collection and engage in customer interactions (including visits as deemed necessary).
• Coordinate resolution of sales and customs disputes according to escalation procedures.
• Identify cheque and bank transfer allocation issues and coordinate rectification.
• Monitor credit accounts and report delinquent customers to Team Leader for review and action.

Job Purpose

To actively manage and coordinate credit collection for an assigned portfolio of customers in alignment with DP DHL process guidelines and policies in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Responsibilities

Customer Business Roles External

• To actively promote and ensure DHL trading terms and conditions are being adhered to by the customer
• To contribute knowledge and expertise toward resolving reoccurring billing issues.
• To maximize collection effectiveness from all customers in a timely and professional manner.
• To maintain efficient records of collection activities.
• To drive debt collection, involve in customer interactions (incl customer visits as deemed necessary)

Stakeholder Business Roles External & Internal

• To coordinate resolution of sales and customs disputes according to escalation procedures
• To identify cheque and electric bank transfer allocation issues and coordinate rectification with responsible team
• To contribute knowledge and expertise toward resolving reoccurring billing issues
• To monitor credit accounts and report delinquent customers to Team Leader for review and action.
• To monitor credit limit of accounts and ensure proper action is taken
• To coordinate master data, billing and collection issue resolution with internal and external customers as deemed necessary and in coordination with team leader and supervisor

Process

• Collection Segmentation & portfolio allocation
• Active Collection (incl visit & schedule check pick up)
• Prepare & Execute dunning runs
• Trigger & follow-up on escalation process (incl visit)
• Prepare, execute, follow-up credit hold (temp credit stop
• Prepare, execute, follow-up outsourced collection
• Prepare, execute, follow-up debt recovery & legal referrals

Requirements

• DHL Express is preferred
