Job summary

GMG is seeking a Fleet Manager to optimize the deployment and utilization of a 200-vehicle fleet across the UAE. You will oversee scheduling, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and vendor coordination to ensure efficient distribution and service levels across Emirates.

You will lead a team, manage fleet costs, fuel usage, and toll systems, and coordinate with internal departments and partners to maintain high reliability and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Fleet management experience in large-scale operations.
• Knowledge of fleet scheduling, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience coordinating internal stakeholders and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Fleet scheduling and allocation for 200+ company vehicles across all Emirates.
• Oversee maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with UAE transport rules, licensing, and insurance.
• Manage permits for food, non-food, and pharmaceutical distribution across Emirates.
• Coordinate with operations, HR, procurement and finance to sustain uninterrupted fleet and distribution activities.
• Monitor and control fleet-related costs including fuel, tolls, maintenance, and insurance.
• Oversee fuel management, usage monitoring, and implement cost-saving measures.
• Coordinate with workshops for servicing and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Organize vehicle inspections with RTA and other authorities for safety and compliance.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

(Managing a Fleet of 200 Company Commercial Vehicles Across All Emirates)

1. 1. Vehicle Scheduling and Allocation Plan coordinate and optimize the deployment of over 200 commercial vehicles to meet operational logistical and distribution requirements across all Emirates.
2. 2. Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs Oversee preventive maintenance schedules manage breakdown repairs and ensure regular inspections to maintain vehicle safety reliability and regulatory compliance.
3. 3. Regulatory Compliance Ensure full adherence to UAE transport regulations including vehicle licensing insurance registration and compliance with road safety and distribution-related standards.
4. 4. Distribution Permits Management (Food Non-Food Medicine) Obtain renew and manage all required distribution permits for transporting food non-food items and pharmaceuticals across all Emirates in line with local authority requirements (Municipality MoHAP).
5. 5. Stakeholder and Vendor Coordination Liaise with internal departments (Operations HR Procurement Finance) and external partners (workshops insurers logistics agents and government regulators) to ensure uninterrupted fleet and distribution activities.
6. 6. Fleet Expense Management Monitor and control all fleet-related operational costs including fuel tolls maintenance permits insurance and vehicle registration.
7. 7. Fuel Management Oversee and manage fuel consumption across the fleet including fuel card usage monitoring fuel efficiency identifying abnormal usage and implementing cost-saving strategies to optimize fuel spend.
8. 8. Toll Account Management Manage toll systems such as Salik and DARB including balance monitoring top-ups and monthly usage reporting to the Accounts/Finance department.
9. 9. Workshop Coordination Coordinate with authorized workshops for scheduled servicing and urgent repairs ensuring minimal downtime and effective vehicle turnaround.
10. 10. Vehicle Inspections Organize mandatory vehicle inspections with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and other relevant authorities to ensure full compliance with safety and regulatory standards including for vehicles handling food non-food and medical product distribution.
