Job summary

Hellmann is seeking a Procurement Expediting Manager in the UAE to lead the expediting team and manage high-priority POs through SAP. You will coordinate with suppliers, procurement, warehouse, finance and logistics to ensure timely delivery and real-time ERP updates.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 years in procurement expediting or logistics in the UAE, with strong SAP experience and fluency in English.

• Experience with SAP ERP and supplier performance management.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; fluent communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise expediting team; allocate workload by PO priority.
• Review daily SAP PO reports; assess urgency and assign work.
• Personally manage critical high-priority, time-sensitive orders.
• Monitor team performance; update PO status in SAP and reports.
• Maintain PO dashboard visibility and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements to expediting and supplier performance.
• Prepare supplier performance reviews and periodic management reports.
• Expedite local and international POs to support operations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to monitor order progress.
• Identify risks; implement recovery plans and escalate delays as needed.
• Provide timely progress reports to Procurement End Users and stakeholders.
• Ensure real-time ERP updates for all PO milestones and shipments.
• Coordinate between suppliers, procurement, warehouse, finance and logistics teams.
• Resolve supplier performance issues and payment-related concerns.

About the Job

• Lead and supervise the expediting team ensuring effective workload allocation based on PO priority and criticality.
• Review daily SAP purchase order (PO) reports assess urgency and assign work accordingly.
• Personally manage critical high-priority and time-sensitive orders.
• Monitor team performance and ensure timely updates of PO status in SAP and reporting tools.
• Maintain full visibility of the PO dashboard and provide accurate status updates to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance expediting processes and supplier performance.
• Prepare supplier performance reviews and periodic management reports
• Expedite local and international Purchase Orders to ensure timely delivery in support of operations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to monitor order progress and resolve delivery issues.
• Identify risks implement recovery plans and elevate delays in accordance with procedures.
• Provide timely progress reports to Procurement End Users and other stakeholders.
• Ensure real-time ERP updates for all PO milestones and shipment activities.
• Act as the primary liaison between suppliers procurement end users warehouse finance and logistics teams.
• Resolve supplier performance issues delivery delays payment-related concerns and material discrepancies.
• Support supplier performance evaluations and prepare vendor performance reports.
• Ensure timely submission of Quality Verification Documents and other contractual documentation
• Coordinate transportation planning and freight movements (air sea and land) where applicable.
• Monitor shipments from suppliers through final delivery
• Coordinate with freight forwarders warehouse logistics providers and engineering teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure warehouse readiness for incoming materials and timely receipt processing.
• Ensure adequate resource planning and business continuity through appropriate staffing and succession coverage.
• Comply with Health & Safety Management System requirements PPE requirements emergency response procedures vehicle safety requirements and incident reporting procedures.

About You

• Bachelors degree in Business Industrial / Electrical Engineering Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in procurement expediting supply chain or logistics preferably within manufacturing industrial energy or infrastructure environments in the UAE.
• Experience with SAP ERP systems and supplier performance management.
• Proficient in all Microsoft office applications (Excel Word and Power Point)
• Fluent communication skills
