About the job

• Ensure pickup scheduling and requirements are met.
• Accountable to control costs within budgetary constraints and have a thorough understanding of the shipment process flow and to manage all shipment processing operations efficiently.
• Motivate, train, coach and support new and existing employees.
• Work with the operations head to establish long and short-term business plans, objectives, and goals for the department.
• Vendor management and negotiations.
• Follow up on shipments until they are terminated and ensure shipments are updated.
• Provide proactive customer service for all clients handled by department.
• Ensure continuous improvement processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste and improve performance to our customers.
• Effectively manage any issues that arise within scope of responsibility. Lead resolution of difficult issues through effective skills.
• Achieve and exceed all department KPI’s.

About you

• Prior experience required within the customer service and the logistics industry (2 years)
• Bachelor’s degree (preferable in supply chain and logistics)
• Knowledge of UAE customs, import and export regulations.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Power Point)
