Sultan Al Ali Group in Dubai seeks a Contract Manager to oversee the contract lifecycle from drafting through close-out, ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable requirements.
You will work with legal, procurement, finance, sales, and operations to review terms, manage risks, and support negotiations with customers and suppliers, maintaining records and driving governance improvements.
Role Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Contract Manager to oversee the preparation, review, negotiation, execution, and administration of contracts. You will work closely with legal, procurement, finance, sales, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure contractual arrangements support business objectives and comply with applicable requirements. You will manage the contract lifecycle from initial drafting and review through execution, amendments, renewals, and close-out. Responsibilities include reviewing contractual terms and conditions, identifying commercial and operational risks, coordinating internal approvals, maintaining contract records, and ensuring key obligations, milestones, and deadlines are properly monitored. You will support contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, partners, and other stakeholders, helping to identify potential risks and opportunities while protecting the organization's commercial interests. You will also monitor contract performance, support the resolution of contractual issues and disputes, and coordinate with relevant teams on corrective actions where required. The role involves maintaining accurate contract documentation, developing contract management processes, preparing reports, and supporting continuous improvements in contract governance and compliance. You will provide practical guidance to stakeholders on contractual matters and help ensure that contractual obligations are understood, tracked, and fulfilled effectively.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or above in Law, Business Administration, Contract Management, Procurement, Finance, or a related field. Strong understanding of contract principles, commercial terms, contract lifecycle management, and business processes. Good knowledge of contract drafting, review, negotiation, amendments, renewals, and compliance requirements. Strong analytical and risk‑assessment skills with the ability to identify contractual, commercial, and operational risks. Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex contractual terms and documentation. Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively with legal, procurement, finance, sales, operations, and other cross‑functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, for contract documentation, analysis, and reporting. Familiarity with contract management systems, procurement platforms, or document management tools is a plus. Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to monitor multiple contracts, obligations, and deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive commercial and contractual information with professionalism and discretion. Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving contractual issues. Commercially minded, responsible, and detail‑oriented with a strong focus on compliance, risk management, and business value.
