Job summary

Etihad Rail Operating Companies seeks a Contract Control Officer to govern contract delivery from inception to close-out, ensuring compliance with terms and regulatory standards and maintaining accurate contract records.

You will liaise with procurement, legal, finance and operations, track milestones, renewal dates, and drive documentation quality for audit readiness and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, procurement, supply chain management, finance, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in contract administration, contract management, procurement, or related field.
  • Experience with CMS or ERP systems and with preparing reports and maintaining contract records.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and govern contract delivery across lifecycle, ensuring compliance with terms and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of contracts, amendments, renewals and supporting documents.
  • Coordinate review and approvals, renewals, extensions and close-out activities.
  • Track milestones, obligations and critical dates, including renewal and expiry.
  • Collaborate with procurement, legal, finance and operations during contract development and administration.
  • Review documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to execution.
  • Monitor vendor/contractor compliance with terms.
  • Prepare regular status, risk and compliance reports for management.
  • Identify contractual risks and escalate to stakeholders for resolution.
  • Support negotiations with administrative/documentation assistance.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Assist audits with required contract documentation and records.
  • Recommend improvements to management processes and controls.

Position Overview

The Contract Control Officer is responsible for the administration, monitoring, and governance of contract delivery throughout their lifecycle. This role ensures that contractual obligations, documentation, approvals, renewals, and compliance requirements are effectively managed in accordance with organizational policies and applicable legal and regulatory standards. The Contract Control Officer serves as a key liaison between end users, internal stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and other relevant parties to maintain accurate contract records, mitigate contractual risks, and support efficient contract execution.

Roles and Responsibility
  • Manage contracts delivery and ensure compliance with the contracts terms and conditions including (liabilities, KPIs, penalties, payment terms, etc.)
  • Maintain a centralized repository of all contracts, amendments, renewals, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor contract lifecycle activities, including drafting support, review coordination, approval workflows, execution, renewals, extensions, and close-out.
  • Ensure contracts comply with organizational policies, governance requirements, and applicable legal and regulatory standards.
  • Track key contract milestones, deliverables, performance obligations, and critical dates, including renewal and expiration deadlines.
  • Coordinate with procurement, legal, finance, and operational departments during contract development and administration.
  • Review contract documentation for completeness, accuracy, and consistency before execution.
  • Monitor vendor and contractor compliance with contractual terms and agreements.
  • Prepare regular reports on contract status, performance, risks, and compliance for management.
  • Identify potential contractual risks and elevate issues to the appropriate stakeholders for resolution.
  • Support contract negotiations by providing administrative and documentation support.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive contractual information.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing required contract documentation and records.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to contract management processes, systems, and controls.
  • Ensure all contract changes, amendments, and variations are properly documented, approved, and archived.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contract administration procedures and documentation requirements.
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
Academic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Law, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience:
  • 3–5 years of experience in contract administration, contract management, procurement, commercial operations, or a related field.
  • Experience working with contract management systems (CMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience supporting procurement, legal, or commercial teams is preferred.
  • Experience in preparing reports, maintaining contract records, and managing document control processes.
Other Skills:
  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management principles.
  • Knowledge of contractual terms, commercial practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and document management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and competing priorities simultaneously.
