Job summary

Dutco Group in the UAE is seeking an experienced Construction Manager - Fit-Out to lead interior fit-out projects from mobilization to handover.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, drive safety, quality and schedule, and manage budgets and procurement strategies.

The role requires 12–15 years in contracting with 5+ years in a similar leadership position across commercial, hospitality, residential or mixed-use developments.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of construction experience in contracting.

• Experience with large-scale UAE/GCC projects.

Job description

The Construction Manager - Fit-Out will be responsible for managing and delivering high-quality interior fit-out projects from commencement through handover. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and commercial awareness to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications and quality standards.

Project Management

• Lead the planning, execution, and completion of fit-out projects across commercial, hospitality, residential, retail, and mixed-use developments.
• Develop and manage project execution plans, construction schedules, manpower plans, and procurement strategies.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining cost, quality, and safety objectives.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Construction Delivery

• Manage all site construction activities including civil interface works, architectural finishes, joinery, ceilings, flooring, partitions, and MEP coordination.
• Monitor site progress against baseline programs and implement recovery plans where required.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and local authority requirements.
• Drive productivity and efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.

Commercial & Contract Management

• Review project budgets, cost reports, variation orders, and subcontractor performance.
• Support commercial teams in evaluating claims, variations, and contractual obligations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks affecting cost, schedule, and quality.

Stakeholder Management

• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Lead project progress meetings and provide regular reports to senior management.
• Resolve technical and commercial issues in a proactive and professional manner.

Quality Management

• Ensure implementation of project quality plans and inspection procedures.
• Monitor workmanship standards and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Lead snagging, testing, commissioning coordination, and final handover activities.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Champion a strong safety culture across all project sites.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, UAE regulations, and project safety requirements.
• Conduct regular safety audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Lead and mentor Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Establish clear performance expectations and accountability within the project team.
• Promote collaboration and continuous improvement throughout project delivery.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 12-15 years of construction experience within the contracting industry.
• Minimum 5 years in a Construction Manager role delivering interior fit-out projects.
• Proven experience managing large-scale commercial, hospitality, residential, retail, or mixed-use fit-out developments within the UAE/GCC.
• Strong track record of successfully delivering projects from mobilization through final handover.
• Strong understanding of interior fit-out construction methodologies and sequencing.
• Excellent knowledge of architectural finishes, joinery, MEP coordination, and authority requirements.
• Experience in project planning, scheduling, cost control, and resource management.
• Proficient in MS Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial management.
