Job summary

Target Engineering is seeking an experienced Construction Manager (Fabrication) to lead all fabrication yard activities for Oil & Gas EPC projects in the UAE. You will supervise multidisciplinary teams, ensure safety and quality, and drive on-schedule delivery and cost control.

The role requires 12–18 years in construction/fabrication, with at least 5 years in a managerial position overseeing yards or modular builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications are an advantage.
• Minimum 12–18 years of experience in construction and fabrication within Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, or EPC industries.
• At least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing fabrication yards or modular construction projects.
• Proven experience with structural steel, piping, and modular fabrication activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all fabrication yard activities for Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary construction teams to achieve project milestones and productivity targets.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
• Monitor fabrication progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, Planning, and Client representatives to ensure smooth execution.
• Review construction methodologies, work schedules, and resource allocation plans.

YOUR ROLE

As Construction Manager - Fabrication you will

• Manage and supervise all fabrication yard activities for Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary construction teams to achieve project milestones and productivity targets.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.
• Monitor fabrication progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, Planning, and Client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review construction methodologies, work schedules, and resource allocation plans.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure contractual compliance.
• Ensure quality requirements are met during fabrication, assembly, welding, and structural activities.
• Prepare and present project progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety performance.

WHAT WE’R LOOKING FOR

Education / Certifications / Licenses

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications are an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 12-18 years of experience in construction and fabrication within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, or EPC industry.
• At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing fabrication yards or modular construction projects.
• Proven experience managing structural steel, piping, pressure vessels, and modular fabrication activities.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding standards, and construction methodologies.
• Familiarity with international standards such as ASME, API, AWS, and ISO requirements.
• Strong project planning, scheduling, and cost-control capabilities.
• Ability to manage large workforces and multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
