Job summary

Micah Solutions in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead high-value fabrication and construction projects in the oil & gas sector. You will own planning, resourcing, QA, and client delivery while guiding multidisciplinary teams across fabrication shops and sites.

You will balance commercial acumen with technical excellence and stakeholder management to drive project success in a demanding environment. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical; Masters or PMP certification is a strong plus.
• 10 years of progressive project management experience in heavy steel fabrication, oil & gas construction or EPC environments.
• Proven track record managing large-scale projects involving tanks, pressure vessels, piping systems and structural steel.
• Experience working with ASME API ASTM and other international fabrication and construction codes.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding standards, NDT, hydrotesting and site installation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for heavy steel fabrication and construction projects including tanks, pressure vessels, piping systems and structural steelwork.
• Develop comprehensive project execution plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resources and risk mitigation strategies.
• Oversee fabrication workflows, site installations and commissioning activities to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement in project processes, methodologies and performance metrics.
• Build, lead and mentor cross-functional project teams including engineers, fabricators, construction supervisors, QA/QC personnel and subcontractors.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants and internal stakeholders ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and excellence across all project phases.
• Manage project budgets, cost controls and financial performance; review variations and claims; monitor cash flow and invoicing.
• Ensure strict compliance with industry standards, client specifications and HSE regulations.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Foster a culture of accountability collaboration and excellence across all project phases.

Commercial & Contract Management

• Manage project budgets cost controls and financial performance ensuring profitability and adherence to contractual obligations.

• Review and negotiate project variations change orders and claims with clients and vendors.

• Monitor cash flow invoicing and payment cycles to maintain healthy project financials.

Quality Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict compliance with industry standards client specifications and HSE regulations.

• Implement robust QA/QC protocols across fabrication and construction activities.

• Champion a zero-harm safety culture on all sites and facilities under your supervision.

Planning & Risk Management

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.

• Identify potential risks early and implement proactive mitigation strategies.

• Conduct regular progress reviews and reporting to senior management and clients.

What Were Looking For

Experience & Qualifications
