He executes thepre-commissioning and commissioning activities for the plant as per projectrequirements.
He operates incompliance with the quality requirements, health/environmental/safetyregulations and follows the stated procedures.
Duties and responsibilities
- Developdetailed pre-commissioning procedures for Machinery & Packages, includingprocedures for functional tests of the machinery in accordance with theinstructions from the Commissioning Machinery Superintendent.
- Conduct fieldchecks of the DAC and prepare the relevant Commissioning punch list,following from CME.
- ExpEditingclosure of pending Punch List Items in alignment with the priorities set bythe Commissioning Superintendent (COT); ensure that activities are carriedout in accordance with the established procedures and requirements.
- Ensurecompliance with all safety rules in the field.
- Supervise theworks of vendors’ specialists, ensuring their efficient utilization.
- Organize andmanage the field operations of the assigned team from the Subcontractor,overseeing their tasks and the implementation of Plant Safety procedures incase of emergencies.
- Support thevendors’ specialists in executing their tasks and coordinate their actionswith the Commissioning supervisors.
- Keep records ofall activities performed in the logbook.
- Producecertificates, duly signed by the involved parties, and hand them over to thecertification engineer (QA/QC).
- Oversee ongoingmaintenance (both planned and corrective maintenance on Plant Units alreadyin operation) in accordance with the priorities set by the CommissioningSuperintendent (COT) and Commissioning Machinery Superintendent (CMT).
- Serve as the authorized person designated by the site manager toreceive or issue a Permit To Work, as per the project’s Permit To WorkProcedure.
Person Specification
- Knowledge& Qualifications Universitydegree or diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.
- Experience Minimum of10-12 years work experience.
- Significantexperience in machinery commissioning activities, specifically rotatingequipment.
- Significantexperience in a similar position on EPC Oil & Gas projects/ Refinery.
- Experience withrotating equipment related to polyolefins.
- Skills and Abilities Excellentcommunications and interpersonal skills
- Team-orientedskills, self-motivation, and direction, with strong bias toward timelyperformance and problem resolution.
