Met T&S Ltd. is seeking a Commissioning Machinery Assistant in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role involves implementing pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for static equipment, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring safety practices during execution. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and have 3-5 years of relevant experience in large oil and gas projects. Excellent communication and management skills are crucial. The position offers an excellent salary pack, accommodation, travel allowance, and a rotation of 60 days on-site followed by 10 days off.

Hours/rotation:

Rotation of 60 days on site and 10 days off (paid) & 2 days traveling (paid).

Salary range:

Excellent salary packagewith benefits.

Single Status. Accommodation (Meals)provided by the company. Transportation provided bythe company. Round trip ticket on each rotation (Economy class).

• Commissioning Machinery Assistant (Static) executes the activities pertaining to his / her discipline in compliance with the quality requirements, health / environmental / safety regulations and following the stated procedures.
• He / she reports to the Commissioning Machinery Supervisor.
• He / she is assigned to the Project by AVIMP Head of Department.

Duties and responsibilities

• To implement the pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for static equipment.
• Execute with the assigned crew from the subcontractor all the activities pertaining to the discipline.
• Ensure effective utilization of commissioning manpower and consumables.
• Ensure the execution of vendor’s specialists’ field activities with the assigned resources from the subcontractor as per vendor’s representative plan.
• Carry out the equipment inspection with client representative as per the procedures and ensure proper certification is produced.
• Prepare the forms for all the tests to be performed and ensure submission of the certificates, duly signed by involved parties for final handover to the certification engineer (QA / QC).
• Coordinate in field with the vendor representatives.
• Keep record of all the activities carried out.
• Ensuring the safety practices are strictly followed during the execution of activities.
• Reporting the progress and constraints to the mechanical supervisor.
• Can be the authorized person designated by the site manager to receive or issue a permit to work according to the project permit to work procedure.
• Assistance to supervisor for expediting of pending punch list Items in accordance with commissioning manager (CMM) priorities.
• Assistance to supervisor for coordination and supervision of construction support activities during the performance of the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

Knowledge & Qualifications

Bachelor’sDegree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

• Atleast 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction of large oil& gas plants / EPC projects.

Excellent communicationsand interpersonal skills. Attention to detail,management skills. Team-oriented skills,self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance andproblem resolution.
