- CommissioningElectrical Supervisor executesthe activities pertaining to his discipline in compliance with thequality requirements, health / environmental / safety regulations andfollowing the stated procedures.
- He /she reports to the Commissioning Electrical Superintendent (CET)
- He /she is assigned to the Project by AVIMP Head of Department.
Duties and responsibilities
- To develop the detailed pre-commissioning procedures forelectrical items & packages, procedures for the functional tests ofthe electrical Items according to the instructions of CommissioningElectrical Superintendent.
- To field check the DAC and prepare relevant commissioning punchlist, following the CME instructions.
- Follow up of activities according to the schedule and by applyingthe procedures and safety rules.
- To organize and manage the operations in field of the assignedteam from the sub-contractor by controlling their job and theimplementation of plant safety procedures in case of emergency.
- To keep records of all activities performed in the logbook forthe purpose of monitoring the progress achieved and apply necessaryrecovery actions.
- To supervise the activities of electrical substation power on andmotor run in field.
- Ensure the application of the TAG-OUT/LOCK OUT.
- Support the Vendors specialists in the execution of the job andcoordinate their actions with the commissioning supervisors.
- Supervise the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure theirefficient utilization.
- During the execution of the interlocks, logic and sequence test,check in MCC that all the actions required or actuated from the boardoperator are properly performed.
- Carry out operation of the starters as per the approved workpermit request.
- To ensure that all the activities are witnessed by the client,prepare and sign off all relevant certificates and hand over tocertification engineer.
- Can be the authorized person designated by the site manager toreceive or issue a permit to work according to the project permit towork procedure.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications
- University Degree or Diploma inElectrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimumof 10-12 years' work experience.
- Significantexperience in a similar position on EPC Oil & Gas projects/Refinery.

Strongleadership and coordination skills.
Good judgmentand decision-making under pressure.
Effectivecommunication and reporting skills.
Proficient inEnglish (written and spoken).
