Job summary

A leading engineering company is looking for a Commissioning Instrument Supervisor to execute activities as per quality and safety regulations. Candidates must have a degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 12 years experience in large gas plant projects. Responsibilities

• Develop detailed pre-commissioning procedures for Instrument Items.
• Coordinate activities of Instrumental specialist CIA, CLC.
• Monitor activities to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Organize and manage operations in the field.
• Supervise the works of vendors’ specialists.
• Support the Vendors specialists in the execution of the job and coordinate their actions with the Commissioning supervisors.
• Supervise the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure their efficient utilization.
• Ensure all safety rules are in force and are followed in field.
• To keep records of all activities performed in the log book for the purpose of monitoring the progress achieved and apply necessary recovery actions.
• To ensure that all the activities are witnessed by the Client, prepare and sign off all relevant certificates and hand over to certification engineer.
• Can be the authorized person designated by the site manager to receive or issue a Permit To Work according to the project Permit To Work Procedure.

Rotation of 60 days on site and 10 days off (paid) & 2 days traveling (paid)

• The Commissioning Instrument Supervisor executes the activities pertaining to his discipline by means of the Instrumental Specialists under his responsibility, in compliance with the quality requirements, health/environmental/safety regulations and following the stated procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To develop the detailed pre-commissioning procedures for Instrument Items & Packages, procedures for the functional tests of the Instrument Items according to the instructions of Commissioning Instrument Superintendent.
• Coordinate the activities of the Instrumental specialist CIA, CLC.
• To fieldcheck the DAC and prepare relevant Commissioning punch list, following the CME instructions.
• Monitor and ensure the activities are carried out in accordance with the procedures and requirements.
• To organize and manage the operations in field of the assigned team from the Subcontractor by controlling their job and the implementation of Plant Safety procedures in case of emergency.
• Support the Vendors specialists in the execution of the job and coordinate their actions with the Commissioning supervisors.
• Supervise the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure their efficient utilization.
• Ensure all safety rules are in force and are followed in field.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

University degree or diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

Significant experience in the industrial construction of large or XL gas plants.

Covered a similar role in at least 2-3 projects of comparable size.

A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
