Job summary

A prominent engineering company is seeking a Commissioning Electrical Supervisor for a 22-month project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in EPC Oil & Gas projects and a degree in Electrical Engineering. Key responsibilities include developing pre-commissioning procedures, supervising field activities, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This position offers an excellent salary package including accommodation and transportation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed pre-commissioning procedures for electrical items.
• Field check the DAC and prepare commissioning punch list.
• Organize and manage operations in the field.
• Keep records of all activities performed in the logbook.
• Supervise the activities of electrical substation power on.
• Ensure the application of TAG-OUT/LOCK OUT.
• Support vendors specialists in the execution of the job.
• Support the Vendors specialists in the execution of the job and coordinate their actions with the commissioning supervisors.
• Supervise the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure their efficient utilization.
• During the execution of the interlocks, logic and sequence test, check in MCC that all actions required or actuated from the board operator are properly performed.
• Carry out operation of the starters as per the approved work permit request.
• To ensure that all the activities are witnessed by the client, prepare and sign off all relevant certificates and hand over to certification engineer.
• Can be the authorized person designated by the site manager to receive or issue a permit to work according to the project permit to work procedure.

Hours/rotation:

Rotation of 60 days on siteand 10 days off (paid) & 2 days traveling (paid).

• CommissioningElectrical Supervisor executes the activities pertaining to hisdiscipline in compliance with the quality requirements, health / environmental/ safety regulations and following the stated procedures.
• He / she reports to the Commissioning Electrical Superintendent(CET)
• He / she is assigned to the Project by AVIMP Head of Department.

Duties and responsibilities

• To develop the detailedpre-commissioning procedures for electrical items & packages, proceduresfor the functional tests of the electrical Items according to theinstructions of Commissioning Electrical Superintendent.
• To field check the DAC and preparerelevant commissioning punch list, following the CME instructions.
• Follow up of activities according tothe schedule and by applying the procedures and safety rules.
• To organize and manage theoperations in field of the assigned team from the sub-contractor bycontrolling their job and the implementation of plant safety proceduresin case of emergency.
• To keep records of all activitiesperformed in the logbook for the purpose of monitoring the progressachieved and apply necessary recovery actions.
• To supervise the activities ofelectrical substation power on and motor run in field.
• Ensure the application of theTAG-OUT/LOCK OUT.
• Support the Vendors specialists inthe execution of the job and coordinate their actions with the commissioningsupervisors.
