Job description

CEA executesthe activities pertaining to his discipline in compliance with the quality

requirements,health/environmental/safety regulations and following the stated procedures.

Duties andresponsibilities

• Implementpre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for electrical equipment.
• Execute activitieswith the assigned crew from the Subcontractor within the discipline.
• Ensure effectiveutilization of commissioning manpower and consumables.
• Execute Vendor’sspecialists field activities in accordance with the Vendor’srepresentative plan.
• Perform checklists asper supervisor instructions.
• Prepare forms for alltests, ensuring submission of certificates signed by involved partiesfor final handover to the certification engineer (QA/QC).
• Ensure proper safetyprocedures during cable tests (megger, induction test), motor andtransformer tests, relay tests, and electrical panel tests.
• Serve as an authorizedperson designated by the site manager to receive or issue permits.
• Work according to theproject Permit to Work Procedure.
• Assistance thesupervisor in; a. Expediting of pending Punch List Items in accordancewith Commissioning Superintendent (COT) priorities; b. Coordination andsupervision of Construction support activities during the performance ofthe pre-commissioning, commissioning activities. C. To implement thepre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for rotary equipment.
• Execute activitieswith the assigned crew from the Subcontractor within the discipline.
• Ensure effectiveutilization of commissioning manpower and consumables.
• Prepare forms for alltests, ensuring submission of certificates signed by involved partiesfor final handover to the certification engineer (QA/QC).
• Carry out and verifyinstrument calibration.
• Provide effectivetroubleshooting during loop tests and logic tests.
• Ensure proper removaland reinstatement of instruments and control devices duringcommissioning activities.
• Serve as an authorizedperson designated by the site manager to receive or issue permitsaccording to the project Permit to Work Procedure.
• Assist the supervisorin expediting pending Punch List Items and coordinating/supervisingconstruction support activities during pre-commissioning andcommissioning.

Knowledge& Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree ordiploma in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 to 5year's work experience.Significant experiencein in a similar position on EPC Oil & Gas projects/ Refinery.
• Experience in on-sitepre-commissioning / commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
