Job summary

Met T&S Ltd. is seeking a Commissioning Assistant in the UAE to execute pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks.

You will work with the project team, ensure safe operations, and coordinate with subcontractor crews to deliver on commissioning milestones. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering and 5–8 years of EPC Oil & Gas or refinery experience, with a strong emphasis on safety and permits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (any field).
• 5–8 years of work experience in EPC Oil & Gas projects or refinery.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Implement pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures.

• Ensure effective utilization of commissioning manpower and consumables.
• Coordinate vendor specialists field activities per plan.
• Prepare forms and ensure certificates are signed for handover to QA/QC.

Hours/rotation:

Rotation of 60 days on siteand 10 days off (paid) & 2 days traveling (paid).

Commissioning Assistantexecutes the activities pertaining to his / her discipline in compliance withthe quality requirements, health / environmental / safety regulations andfollowing the stated procedures.

Duties and responsibilities

• Implement pre-commissioning and commissioningprocedures.
• Execute activities with the assigned crew from the subcontractor within the discipline.
• Ensure effective utilization of commissioningmanpower and consumables.
• Execute vendor’s specialists field activities inaccordance with the vendor’s representative plan.
• Perform checklists as per supervisor instructions.
• Prepare forms for all tests, ensuring submission ofcertificates signed by involved parties for final handover to thecertification engineer (QA / QC).
• Ensure proper safety procedures.
• Serve as an authorized person designated by the sitemanager to receive or issue permits.
• Work according to the project permit to work procedure.
• Assistance the supervisor in: Expediting of pending punch list items in accordance with commissioning superintendentpriorities.
• Coordination and supervision of construction supportactivities during the performance of the pre-commissioning,commissioning activities.
• To implement the pre-commissioning andcommissioning procedures.

Execute activities with theassigned crew from the subcontractor within the discipline.

Ensure effectiveutilization of commissioning manpower and consumables.

Prepare forms for alltests, ensuring submission of certificates signed by involved parties for final handover to the certification engineer (QA / QC).

Serve as an authorizedperson designated by the site manager to receive or issue permits accordingto the project permit to work procedure.

Assist the supervisor inexpediting pending punch list items and coordinating / supervising constructionsupport activities during pre-commissioning and commissioning.

PersonSpecification

Knowledge & Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in any Engineering course.

Experience

• Minimumof 5 to 8 year's work experience.
• Significantexperience in in a similar position on EPC Oil & Gas projects /Refinery.
