Job summary

Villaggio Hotels in Abu Dhabi is seeking a motivated Commis 2 to join our hotel kitchen team. You will assist the Chef and senior kitchen staff in preparing food, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting daily operations.

You must have basic knowledge of food preparation, food safety, and hygiene, and be able to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. We value teamwork, discipline, and a positive attitude, with willingness to work different shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as Commis 2 or similar in hotel/hospitality.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, multicultural environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in different shifts.
• Positive attitude, discipline, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food according to recipes and hotel standards.
• Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meat, seafood, and other food items as required.
• Support the Chef de Partie and other kitchen team members during daily operations.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of food items.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the assigned workstation and kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety, HACCP, and hotel hygiene standards.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and maintained.
• Minimize food wastage and follow proper portion control.
• Assist with receiving and organizing food supplies when required.
• Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the Chef or supervisor.
