Job summary

Centro Al Manhal by Rotana and Al Rawda Arjaan by Rotana in Abu Dhabi are seeking a passionate Commis I to join our kitchen team. You will assist in daily food preparation, maintain hygiene, and support section leaders to meet quality standards.

The role requires professional kitchen training, good culinary skills, and the ability to communicate in English. You will work in a multicultural, fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Professional kitchen apprenticeship or chefs training course.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Proven track record of food preparation, presentation and preservation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in the daily operation and work.
• Prepare the daily mise-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites.
• Keep work area at all times in hygienic conditions according to hotel rules.
• Control food stock and food cost in your section.
• Follow instructions and recommendations from superiors to complete tasks.
• Ensure high standards and quality in daily preparation; stay updated on products and techniques.
• Coordinate with other sections on cleanliness, wastage and cost control.
