Job summary

Centro Al Manhal by Rotana in Abu Dhabi is seeking a passionate Commis I to join our kitchen team. You will assist in daily food preparation, support senior chefs, and help uphold high standards of quality and presentation for our guests.

You will work under supervision in a dynamic, multicultural environment, contributing to accurate mise-en-place, stock control, and cost efficiency while maintaining excellent hygiene and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• Professional kitchen apprenticeship or chefs training required.
• Experience in quality establishments is preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English is essential.
• Strong culinary skills and passion for food are expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in daily operations.
• Follow menu specifications and recipes as directed by seniors.
• Keep the work area hygienic at all times per hotel rules.
• Control stock and food cost in your section.
• Prepare daily mis-en-place and kitchen production in main or satellite kitchens.
• Coordinate with other sections on cleanliness, waste control and cost efficiency.
