Job summary

Rotana is seeking a Commis II for Centro Al Manhal by Rotana and Al Rawda Arjaan by Rotana in Abu Dhabi. You will assist in daily food preparation, follow the menu, and support senior chefs to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a busy hotel kitchen.

You will maintain hygiene, prepare mise-en-place, manage stock and food cost in your section, and work as part of a diverse team to uphold Rotana standards in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
• Experience in quality establishments with strong culinary skills.
• Ability to communicate in English and a proven track record of food preparation, presentation and preservation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I in daily operations.
• Follow menu specifications by the Chef de Partie.
• Maintain hygienic work areas according to hotel rules.
• Control food stock and food cost in your section.
• Prepare the daily mise-en-place and production in kitchen sections.
• Follow instructions from superiors to complete tasks.
• Ensure high standards and stay updated with new products and techniques.
• Coordinate with other sections on cleanliness, wastage and cost control.
