Job summary

Rosewood Abu Dhabi is seeking a Commis 1 to support the daily kitchen operations under the supervision of the Junior Sous Chef. You will prepare and present dishes, ensure mise en place, uphold hygiene standards and contribute to consistent, high-quality dining experiences.

You will also mentor junior colleagues and continually develop your own culinary skills within a professional hotel kitchen environment that values excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen within a hotel, resort, or high-quality restaurant environment.
• Passion for culinary excellence and producing high-quality dishes.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present dishes according to Rosewood standards.
• Ensure mise en place is organized for all service periods.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation and hygiene regulations.
• Monitor product quality, portion control and presentation standards.
• Support and guide Commis 2 and Commis 3 in daily kitchen operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen environment and proper care of equipment.
