Job summary

Rosewood Hotels and Resorts invites applications for a Commis 1 to join our hotel kitchen team. You will prepare and present high-quality dishes within your assigned station, ensuring recipes and standards are followed.

You will also help maintain mise en place and uphold strict food safety and hygiene practices. You will support Commis 2 and Commis 3 colleagues, contributing to efficient kitchen operations while developing your own culinary skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen within a hotel/resort or high-quality restaurant.
• Passion for culinary excellence and producing high-quality dishes.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations and food safety standards.
• Organised and detail-oriented, able to work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written English; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present dishes according to standards and recipes.
• Maintain mise en place and ensure readiness for service periods.
• Uphold food safety, sanitation and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Support and guide junior Commis 2 and Commis 3 in daily kitchen operations.
