Job summary

Rosewood Abu Dhabi is seeking a Commis 1 to join our culinary team in delivering high-quality dishes within a luxury hotel kitchen. You will report to the Junior Sous Chef and actively support the daily operation of your assigned section.

You will prepare and present dishes according to Rosewood standards, maintain mise en place, uphold food safety, and help guide Commis 2 and Commis 3 staff while developing your own skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen within a hotel or high-quality restaurant.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work under pressure and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to Rosewood standards.
• Ensure mise en place is organized for all service periods.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Monitor product quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Support and guide Commis 2 and Commis 3 in daily operations.
• Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and well maintained.
