Job summary

Calvin James Recruitment is seeking an experienced Finance Director to join a growing organisation in Dubai. You will lead the finance function and act as a key commercial partner to senior leadership, translating financial data into strategic insights.

The role requires a recognised professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or CA) and substantial senior finance leadership experience, ideally in financial services or a regulated sector.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised professional accounting qualification – ACCA, CPA, CIMA or CA.
• Significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally at Finance Director or equivalent level.
• Financial services experience strongly preferred, in regulated environments.
• Strong commercial mindset with ability to understand the wider business drivers.
• Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function and act as a key commercial partner to senior leadership.
• Provide financial insight and challenge to support strategic decisions.
• Partner with operational, commercial and other business functions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Translate financial data into clear, commercially relevant insights.
• Maintain strong financial controls, governance and reporting standards.
• Ensure the business operates within regulatory framework.
• Oversee financial reporting, cash flow and working capital.
• Support development of financial systems, processes and reporting.
• Lead and develop the finance team.
• Remain hands-on when required.
