Job summary

The Arab Lens is seeking a Finance Director to provide strategic leadership across all financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, treasury, taxation, risk management, budgeting and corporate governance. Reporting to executive leadership, the role acts as a trusted business partner to drive financial stability and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• MBA or Masters degree is advantageous.
• CPA/ACCA/CA/CMA or equivalent qualification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
• Oversee financial reporting and statutory compliance.
• Manage treasury, cash flow and investment activities.
• Establish robust financial governance and internal controls.
• Support mergers, acquisitions and investment evaluations where applicable.
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives.
• Present financial performance and recommendations to senior management.
• Lead external audit and regulatory engagements.
• Develop and mentor high-performing finance teams.
• Drive financial transformation and process optimization initiatives.
• Identify commercial opportunities that improve profitability.

• Strong understanding of corporate finance governance and strategic planning.
• Demonstrated leadership of large finance functions.
• Excellent commercial analytical and negotiation skills.
• Strong executive presentation and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is an advantage.
