Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3-8 years of experience in construction/engineering projects (GCC experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of contract forms such as FIDIC.
• Experience in claims, variations, and cost control.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and commercial reporting tools.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyse, and administer contracts (main contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements).
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability; prepare cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare, submit, and negotiate variation orders and claims; assess extensions of time and additional costs.
• Track project expenditures against budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in tender preparation, pricing, and commercial evaluations; review tender documents for key risks.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams; provide contractual advice to project managers and engineers.

The role involves close coordination with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to protect the company's commercial interests.

Key Responsibilities

Contracts Management

• Review, analyse, and administer contracts (main contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements)
• Identify contractual risks and provide mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, conditions, and obligations
• Handle contract correspondence, notices, and claims

Commercial Management

• Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability
• Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial analysis
• Evaluate variations, change orders, and claims
• Support procurement and subcontracting processes

Claims & Variations

• Prepare, submit, and negotiate variation orders and claims
• Assess entitlement for extensions of time (EOT) and additional costsli>
• Maintain proper documentation to support claims

Cost Control

• Track project expenditures against budgets
• Identify cost-saving opportunities
• Work closely with planning and site teams for cost optimization

Tendering Support
