Job summary

AccorHotels Middle East is seeking a Financial Controller for our UAE cluster to oversee financial operations across properties, ensure accurate reporting, and drive profitability. The role requires extensive hotel finance experience, budgeting and internal controls, with strong leadership and ERP proficiency.

You will partner with Cluster General Managers and cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance, manage cash flow, and ensure UAE statutory compliance in a dynamic hospitality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5-8 years of hotel finance or accounting experience, preferably in an international hotel group.
• Experience as Financial Controller or in senior finance management role.
• Experience managing multi-property or cluster finance operations is preferred.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost control and internal audit knowledge.
• Good understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in hotel financial systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations, accounting, and reporting across all cluster properties.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor hotel financial performance, revenue, expenses, GOP, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness.
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial business plans.
• Monitor actual financial performance against approved budgets.
• Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Support management in achieving financial targets and business objectives.
• Monitor operational expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Review payroll expenses, overtime, and manpower costs in coordination with People & Culture.
• Monitor food and beverage costs, inventory, and stock controls.
• Drive financial efficiency and profitability across all properties.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital across the cluster.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collection activities.
• Ensure timely supplier payments and proper management of outstanding balances.
• Monitor credit policies, debtor aging, and collection performance.
• Establish and strengthen financial controls across all cluster properties.
• Ensure compliance with UAE statutory requirements and corporate reporting deadlines.
• Lead, guide, and support finance teams across properties.
• Standardize financial reporting, procedures, and controls across the cluster.
• Participate in management meetings, budget reviews, and business planning sessions.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities to support sustainable growth.
• Act as a financial business partner to the Cluster General Manager and hotel management.
• Collaborate with People & Culture, Procurement, Revenue, Sales, and Operations.
• Prepare consolidated cluster financial performance reports and audit responses.
