Job summary

The First Group Hospitality in Dubai is seeking a Chief Accountant to lead the hotel finance function, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive cost control and revenue optimisation across properties.

You will manage the finance team, ensure UAE accounting standards compliance, and provide strategic analysis for operational efficiency. Strong knowledge of SUN, Opera, Micros, and FMC is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Sound knowledge of hotel applications-SUN; Opera; Micros; FMC is mandatory.
• Advanced MS Excel skills is required.
• Professional accounting certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within hospitality/hotel industry.
• Experience as Chief Accountant or senior accounting role in a hotel environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all hotel accounting transactions and records.
• Lead month-end closing, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Ensure UAE accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls are followed.
• Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely financial reporting.
