Job summary

InterContinental Abu Dhabi, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a polished Club Lounge Receptionist to welcome guests at Club InterContinental. You will manage arrivals, assist with enquiries, and coordinate with departments to ensure personalised, luxury service.

The role requires excellent English, professional presentation, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in Front Office or guest-facing role, preferably luxury hotel.
• Strong verbal and written communication with a warm approach.
• Organization and attention to detail for multiple requests.
• Professional grooming and hospitality etiquette.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome Club InterContinental guests warmly and professionally, creating an excellent first impression upon arrival.
• Manage lounge arrivals and departures with a personalised, seamless experience.
• Verify guest eligibility and access to the Club Lounge per hotel procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of guest visits, preferences, and special requests.
• Respond to guest enquiries about facilities, dining, services, and local attractions.
• Recognise VIPs and returning guests and anticipate their needs.
• Coordinate with Front Office, F&B, Concierge and other teams to fulfil requests efficiently.
• Handle calls, messages and guest communications promptly.
• Assist with restaurant reservations, transportation, and other guest requests as needed.
• Provide personalised recommendations and accurate information to enhance guest experience.
• Handle feedback and concerns with tact and escalate when necessary.
• Keep reception areas organized and aligned with hotel standards.
• Ensure guest information is confidential and properly managed.
• Stay informed about promotions and services to provide relevant information.
• Support smooth daily operations of Club InterContinental through effective team communication.

As the first point of contact for guests visiting Club InterContinental, you will play a key role in delivering a personalised arrival experience, managing guest enquiries, and ensuring every interaction reflects the hotel's commitment to exceptional luxury hospitality.

Every day is different, but you will mainly be responsible for:

• Welcome Club InterContinental guests warmly and professionally, creating an excellent first impression upon arrival.
• Manage guest arrivals and departures within the lounge, ensuring a smooth, personalised, and seamless experience.
• Verify guest eligibility and access to the Club Lounge in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of guest visits, preferences, special requests, and relevant information.
• Respond to guest enquiries regarding hotel facilities, dining options, services, and local attractions.
• Recognise VIPs and returning guests, ensuring their preferences and requirements are anticipated and attended to.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Concierge, and other departments to fulfil guest requests efficiently.
• Handle telephone calls, messages, and guest communications professionally and promptly.
• Assist with restaurant reservations, transportation arrangements, and other guest requests as required.
• Provide personalised recommendations and accurate information to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Handle guest feedback and concerns with tact and professionalism, escalating matters to the appropriate team when necessary.
• Maintain a professional and organised reception area, ensuring all guest-facing spaces reflect the hotel's standards.
• Ensure guest information and records are handled with discretion and confidentiality.
• Stay informed about hotel promotions, events, facilities, and services to provide relevant information to guests.
• Support the smooth daily operation of Club InterContinental by maintaining effective communication and coordination with the lounge team.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in Front Office, Guest Relations, Reception, or a similar guest-facing role, preferably within a luxury hotel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a warm and confident approach to guest interaction.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple requests efficiently.
• Professional grooming, polished presentation, and excellent hospitality etiquette.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with hotel property management systems is an advantage.
• A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and delivering personalised guest experiences.
• Ability to handle guest concerns discreetly and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
