Job summary

InterContinental Abu Dhabi is looking for a polished Club Lounge Receptionist to join our luxury hotel team. You will be the first point of contact for Club InterContinental guests, delivering a personalised arrival experience and addressing enquiries with discretion and tact.

You will welcome guests, manage lounge access, coordinate with Front Office, F&B and Concierge, and ensure impeccable service standards across all guest interactions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Front Office, Guest Relations, Reception, or similar guest-facing role in luxury hospitality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a warm, confident approach.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet Club InterContinental guests warmly and professionally on arrival.
• Manage lounge arrivals/departures and ensure a personalised, seamless experience.

As the first point of contact for guests visiting Club InterContinental, you will play a key role in delivering a personalised arrival experience, managing guest enquiries, and ensuring every interaction reflects the hotel's commitment to exceptional luxury hospitality.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you will mainly be responsible for:

• Welcome Club InterContinental guests warmly and professionally, creating an excellent first impression upon arrival.
• Manage guest arrivals and departures within the lounge, ensuring a smooth, personalised, and seamless experience.
• Verify guest eligibility and access to the Club Lounge in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of guest visits, preferences, special requests, and relevant information.
• Respond to guest enquiries regarding hotel facilities, dining options, services, and local attractions.
• Recognise VIPs and returning guests, ensuring their preferences and requirements are anticipated and attended to.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Concierge, and other departments to fulfil guest requests efficiently.
• Handle telephone calls, messages, and guest communications professionally and promptly.
• Assist with restaurant reservations, transportation arrangements, and other guest requests as required.
• Provide personalised recommendations and accurate information to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Handle guest feedback and concerns with tact and professionalism, escalating matters to the appropriate team when necessary.
• Maintain a professional and organised reception area, ensuring all guest-facing spaces reflect the hotel's standards.
• Ensure guest information and records are handled with discretion and confidentiality.
• Stay informed about hotel promotions, events, facilities, and services to provide relevant information to guests.
• Support the smooth daily operation of Club InterContinental by maintaining effective communication and coordination with the lounge team.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in Front Office, Guest Relations, Reception, or a similar guest-facing role, preferably within a luxury hotel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a warm and confident approach to guest interaction.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple requests efficiently.
• Professional grooming, polished presentation, and excellent hospitality etiquette.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with hotel property management systems is an advantage.
• A genuine passion for luxury hospitality and delivering personalised guest experiences.
• Ability to handle guest concerns discreetly and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
