Job summary

Gulf Contracting & Landscaping (GCL) in Dubai is seeking a detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer to support planning, coordination and technical delivery of civil construction projects on site.

You will collaborate with project management, design and site teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and comply with quality and safety standards, with strong emphasis on scheduling and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 4–8 years of civil project engineering or coordination experience.
• Knowledge of project management principles and construction processes.
• Experience with scheduling tools preferred (Primavera P6 or MS Project).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for civil works.
• Review drawings, specs, and design changes with consultants.
• Monitor progress against baseline schedule and flag delays.
• Coordinate with procurement and contracts on materials, subcontractors, and BOQs.
• Prepare progress reports and project documentation.
• Liaise with site engineers to ensure design intent on site.
• Support cost control and change management processes.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in project meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and technical delivery of civil construction projects. The role involves working closely with project management, design, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for civil works
• Review and coordinate technical drawings, specifications, and design changes with consultants
• Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and flag potential delays
• Coordinate with procurement and contracts teams on materials, subcontractors, and BOQs
• Prepare technical reports, progress reports, and project documentation
• Liaise with site engineers to ensure design intent is properly implemented on site
• Support cost control, variation orders, and change management processes
• Ensure compliance with project quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in project meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• 4-8 years of experience in civil project engineering or project coordination roles
• Solid understanding of project management principles and construction processes
• Experience with scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project) is preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills
