Job summary

AL SAHRAA CONTRACTING AND LOGISTICS SERVICES - L.L.C. seeks an experienced Planning Engineer to lead master and baseline schedules using Primavera P6. You will review and monitor programmes across multiple projects, track progress, and prepare standard reports with KPIs and dashboards.

The role requires 10–15+ years in construction planning, strong knowledge of scheduling, S-curves, and delay analysis, with excellent coordination across Project Managers and site teams.

Qualifications

Job description

• Develop and maintain master and baseline programmes using Primavera P6.

• Review and monitor planning programmes for all ongoing projects.

• Track planned vs. actual progress and identify deviations.

• Prepare weekly and monthly management progress reports.

• Prepare and analyze S-Curves, KPIs, dashboards and progress charts.

• Monitor critical path and critical activities.

• Identify schedule risks, delays and potential slippages.

• Prepare recovery and mitigation programmes.

• Review project look-ahead schedules and major milestones.

• Monitor project milestones and contractual completion dates.

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers and Site Planning Engineers.

• Consolidate progress reports from different projects for management stakeholders.

• Review manpower and resource loading against project requirements.

• Monitor productivity and resource utilization.

• Assist in delay analysis, EOT and claims preparation.

• Maintain proper records of programme revisions and schedule updates.

• Conduct what-if analysis and completion forecasting.

• Provide early warnings to management regarding potential delays.

• Ensure compliance with client/consultant planning and reporting requirements.

• Coordinate with QS, Commercial, Contracts, Procurement and Engineering teams.

• Establish and implement standard planning procedures and reporting formats.

• Review the performance of Planning Engineers and provide technical guidance.

• Conduct periodic project performance and schedule review meetings.

• Support management in resource allocation and project prioritization.

• Identify opportunities to improve project schedule performance and productivity.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / related field

• 10–15+ years of planning experience in construction.

• Strong experience in Primavera P6 and MS Project.

• Experience in building, road, infrastructure, airport or major civil projects is advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and project controls.

• Experience in baseline programmes, progress measurement, S-curves, resource loading and delay analysis.

• Good knowledge of EOT and claims-related planning documentation.

• Strong Excel and reporting/dashboard skills.

• Ability to manage planning requirements for multiple projects from Head Office.

• Strong communication and coordination skills with Project Managers, Commercial, QS, Contracts and site teams.
