Job summary

ADNOC Group in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is seeking a Civil Maintenance Engineer to plan and execute civil maintenance projects across industrial facilities. The role covers concrete rehabilitation, roads, infrastructure, fireproofing and non-metallic utility piping repairs while coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

You will develop scopes of work for tender packages, support contracting, and mentor UAE Nationals in Civil Engineering, delivering projects on time, within scope and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in civil maintenance, ideally in a large industrial organization such as Oil & Gas.
• Experience developing scopes of work and supporting tender and contracting activities.
• Ability to manage maintenance projects within defined scope, schedule and budget requirements.

About the Role

The Civil Maintenance Engineer will develop civil scopes of work for tender packages and identify economical engineering solutions that comply with established business processes, technical standards and company policies. The role leads civil maintenance activities from requirements definition and contracting through execution and control, ensuring maintenance projects support plant operations while meeting applicable technical, HSE, schedule and budget requirements.

Civil Maintenance and Engineering

• Plan and develop civil scopes of work for tender packages.
• Develop economical solutions in accordance with applicable business processes and policy requirements.
• Lead implementation of company standards and policies relating to Civil Maintenance.
• Define project requirements and deliverables in accordance with company standards and specifications.
• Provide engineering support for concrete rehabilitation and other civil maintenance requirements.
• Support maintenance activities involving roads and industrial infrastructure.
• Coordinate fireproofing and non-metallic utility piping repair works.
• Ensure civil maintenance requirements are properly defined before project execution.

Project Execution

• Initiate, plan and supervise Civil Maintenance Projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and contractors throughout project implementation.
• Manage activities within established schedule, scope and budget constraints.
• Monitor project execution and address requirements affecting successful delivery.
• Coordinate maintenance projects with plant operations and other internal customers.
• Maintain alignment between technical deliverables and approved project requirements.

Maintenance Management

• Plan, initiate, monitor and control the Maintenance Management System activities associated with Civil Maintenance support services.
• Coordinate civil maintenance requirements supporting plant operations.
• Maintain oversight of maintenance activities to support timely execution and operational requirements.
• Apply relevant company standards and procedures throughout civil maintenance activities.

Contracts and Tender Support

• Initiate and plan contracts required for Civil Maintenance services.
• Determine, document and finalize contracting requirements to support the Maintenance Manager.
• Coordinate contract requirements in accordance with the applicable acquisition plan.
• Assess potential bidders and material vendors using relevant technical and commercial criteria.
• Evaluate technical competency, experience and HSE performance during bidder and vendor assessment.
• Select potential bidders and material vendors from the company commercial directory.
• Request expressions of interest and obtain required site management approvals.

UAE National Development

• Mentor and develop UAE Nationals working in Civil Engineering.
• Transfer relevant technical and practical knowledge to support professional development.
• Contribute to ADNOC Sour Gas Emiratization objectives through structured technical guidance and development.

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor 's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Civil Maintenance within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Experience with concrete rehabilitation.
• Experience with road and infrastructure maintenance.
• Experience with fireproofing works.
• Experience with non-metallic utility piping repair works.
