Job summary

ADNOC in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Civil Engineer for on-site maintenance projects. You will plan civil scopes, lead maintenance activities, coordinate cross-functional teams and manage contracts with vendors in a large industrial environment.

The role requires 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. UAE Nationals development is part of the program and the position offers full-time on-site work in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 8 years of relevant experience in civil maintenance within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Experience in concrete rehabilitation.
• Experience with roads and infrastructure maintenance.
• Experience in fireproofing works.
• Experience in non-metallic utility piping repair works.
• Knowledge of civil maintenance project planning and execution.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and contractors within defined scope, schedule and budget requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop civil scopes of work for tender packages in accordance with applicable business processes and policy requirements.
• Develop economical solutions for civil maintenance requirements.
• Lead implementation of Company standards and policies related to Civil Maintenance.
• Initiate, plan and supervise cross-functional teams and contractors carrying out Civil Maintenance Projects.
• Manage project activities within established schedule, scope and budget constraints.
• Ensure project requirements and deliverables are clearly defined and comply with Company standards and specifications.
• Plan, initiate, monitor and control Maintenance Management System activities related to Civil Maintenance support services.
• Provide civil maintenance support to plant operations and other internal customers.
• Initiate, plan, determine, document and finalize contracts required for Civil Maintenance services in accordance with the acquisition plan.
• Support the Maintenance Manager with contracting requirements for civil maintenance activities.
• Assess potential bidders and material vendors using relevant factors including technical competency, experience and HSE performance.
• Identify suitable bidders and vendors from the Company commercial directory.
• Request expressions of interest and obtain the required site management approvals.
• Mentor and develop UAE Nationals in Civil Engineering, supporting ADNOC Sour Gas in progressing its Emiratization objectives and strengthening technical capability within the discipline.
