Job summary

ADNOC is seeking a Civil Engineer for building maintenance in Abu Dhabi. The role covers coordination of civil and building maintenance activities, providing technical expertise, and ensuring maintenance services meet SLAs and KPIs within ADNOC-owned properties including offices and residences in Abu Dhabi City and Ruwais City.

The candidate should have 6 years of relevant experience in design, construction and maintenance of multi-storied buildings, and be proficient in preventive maintenance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 6 years of experience in design, construction and maintenance of multi-storied buildings.
• Experience supporting civil and building maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and civil repair works.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil and building maintenance activities, including structural alterations and modifications.
• Provide technical expertise for civil maintenance associated with building operation and maintenance.
• Monitor maintenance services against defined service level agreements, KPIs, specifications and operational methodologies.
• Support civil maintenance requirements across ADNOC-owned properties, including office buildings and residential properties in Abu Dhabi City and Ruwais City.
• Verify that civil repairs are completed promptly and efficiently in accordance with professional standards and Company policies.
• Provide technical guidance to Civil Supervisors across assigned locations.
• Support preparation of technical feasibility studies and cost estimates for civil maintenance works.

Operation and Maintenance Services

• Coordinate civil and building maintenance activities, including structural alterations and modifications.
• Provide technical expertise for civil maintenance associated with building operation and maintenance.
• Monitor maintenance services against defined service level agreements, KPIs, specifications and operational methodologies.
• Support civil maintenance requirements across ADNOC-owned properties, including office buildings and residential properties in Abu Dhabi City and Ruwais City.

Preventive Maintenance

• Assist in preparing annual preventive maintenance programs for civil and building maintenance activities, including monthly work schedules.
• Review monthly maintenance programs and analyze progress against planned activities.
• Support implementation of planned preventive maintenance programs, checklists, method statements and risk assessments.
• Monitor scheduled preventive maintenance of civil elements.
• Verify the condition of door closers, door sealing, openings and insulation and ensure identified defects are addressed promptly.

Contracts and Tender Support

• Assist with preparation and administration of civil maintenance contracts.
• Develop and review technical specifications supporting contracts and tenders.
• Evaluate maintenance contract provisions from quality, standards and performance perspectives and provide justified recommendations.
• Participate in contract and purchase committee meetings and provide technical evaluations and clarifications.
• Visit work locations to assess contractor performance.
• Verify completed works and work orders for payment purposes.
• Participate in preparation and review of Work Service Order scopes and associated technical and commercial evaluations.

Contractor and Service Provider Management

• Monitor contractors for compliance with contractual obligations.
• Follow up with contractor management regarding work progress, schedules, quality and HSE performance.
• Participate in the review and approval of manpower proposed by service providers.
• Participate in the review and selection of specialist service providers and subcontractors.
• Assist the Senior Civil Engineer Maintenance with contractor performance evaluations.
• Review monthly progress reports and payment certificates submitted by service providers.

Quality Management

• Monitor implementation of approved Quality Management System procedures.
• Identify non-conformities associated with maintenance activities and contractor performance.
• Follow up on remedial actions and closure of non-conformance reports.
• Monitor contractor performance against applicable quality requirements.
• Verify implementation of approved maintenance methodologies and associated risk controls.

Materials and Spare Parts

• Inspect and verify spare-part requirements prepared by engineers or contractors.
• Ensure required stock and non-stock items for civil maintenance activities are identified and available to support ongoing maintenance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor 's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 6 years of experience in the design, construction and maintenance of multi-storied buildings within a large organization.
• Experience supporting civil and building maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and civil repair works.
• Experience with maintenance contracts, technical specifications and contractor coordination.
• Understanding of quality management, HSE requirements and contractor performance monitoring.
