Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Transportation/Electrical/Civil engineer to lead traffic signal strategy and operations. You will develop adaptive signal control using AI and predictive analytics, and coordinate with consultants, developers, and system providers to enhance intersection performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Intelligent Transportation Systems or Traffic Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced traffic signal strategies based on simulations and benchmarking.
• Coordinate with consultants, developers, and system providers to enhance traffic signal systems and response plans.
• Oversee project planning and alignment of traffic signal initiatives with RTA frameworks, ensuring resourcing and compliance.
• Develop adaptive signal control strategies that incorporate AI and predictive analytics to improve efficiency and safety at intersections.
• Prepare traffic infrastructure for integration with connected and cooperative systems and emerging technologies.
• Apply AI-enabled monitoring and predictive data models to support incident detection and congestion management.
