Job summary

EDTECH4D - JOBSKILLSHARE is seeking a Chief Radar Systems Scientist/Project Leader to spearhead end-to-end radar development for defense applications. You will establish a world-class Radar R&D division and drive architecture, testing, and deployment.

The role requires 15+ years in defense/A&D R&D with leadership in large programs and strong expertise in radar system architecture, signal processing, and multidisciplinary team management.

Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Radar Engineering, RF/microwave Engineering, Physics or related field.
• 15+ years in defense or aerospace R&D with leadership in large-scale programs.
• 5-7+ years in senior technical leadership roles.

Job description

We are seeking an accomplished Chief Radar Systems Scientist / Project Leader to lead the end-to-end development of next-generation radar systems for advanced defense applications. This executive leadership role offers the opportunity to establish and lead a world-class Radar R&D division, driving innovation from concept and architecture through testing, validation, and operational deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced radar systems, including AESA, PESA, SAR, and ISAR technologies.
• Define radar system architecture and oversee RF front-end, waveform design, and signal processing development.
• Develop advanced detection, tracking, classification, and interference mitigation algorithms.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the complete product lifecycle.
• Oversee prototype development, system integration, testing, validation, and operational deployment.
• Manage technical roadmaps, project budgets, timelines, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Radar Engineering, RF/microwave Engineering, Physics, or a related field (MSc considered with exceptional experience).
• 15+ years of experience in defense or aerospace R&D with proven leadership in large-scale engineering programs.
• 5-7+ years in senior technical leadership roles such as Chief Scientist, Technical Director, Head of R&D, or Program Lead.
• Extensive expertise in radar system architecture, RF/microwave engineering, antenna systems, and digital signal processing (MTI, CFAR, beamforming).
• Strong experience in target tracking, signal processing, electronic interference mitigation, and radar system integration.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex defense systems from concept to deployment.
