Job summary

EDGE in Abu Dhabi seeks a Principal Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, reliability, and readiness of advanced radar and EW systems. You will lead engineering teams and drive preventive maintenance programs across deployments.

You will manage budgets, plan upgrades, and ensure compliance with defense standards while coordinating system integration and calibration. Fluent Arabic and 10–15 years in radar/EW are essential, with expertise in RF and AESA technologies.

Qualifications

Arabic fluency required.
10–15 years of experience with radar or EW systems.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Master or PhD advantageous).
Strong knowledge of RF principles and radar theory (phased array, AESA).
Proficiency with maintenance software and tools.
Experience on military, civilian or aviation radar and communication systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented with system optimization.

Responsibilities

Develop long-term reliability programs and PM schedules to maximize radar uptime.
Lead engineers, technicians, and mechanics specialized in microwave, RF, and DSP systems.
Oversee departmental budgets, forecast CapEx for major upgrades, and manage vendor contracts.
Direct root-cause failure analyses to troubleshoot hardware, software, or calibration issues.
Enforce safety regulations, defense standards (MIL-STD), and RF radiation zone controls.
Coordinate installation, testing, and calibration of new radar installations and upgrades.
