Job description

Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella – SALT, Switch, Parker’s, Grind, Somewhere, and Public.

We are currently hiring for a Chef De Partie to work collaboratively with the sous Chef and Head Chef, ensuring the successful running of the restaurant. The role involves planning, organization, training, and leadership of all BOH operations across multiple restaurants in the UAE.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  1. Setting up the kitchen prior to a restaurant’s opening.
  2. Preparing a specific kitchen station, bringing all food containers to that point in the line.
  3. Cooking specific portions of plated meals.
  4. Assisting with marinating, cutting, and precooking foods.
  5. Cleaning the kitchen before closing.
  6. Cleaning and sanitising their area with warm water and soap.
  7. Wrapping unused items and storing them properly at the end of a shift.
  8. Plating food creatively to maximize customer enjoyment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Qualification from a culinary school.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation best practices.
  • Passion for delivering quality food and service.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Availability to work shifts during weekends and holidays.
