Job summary

Alabbar Enterprises is seeking a Demi Chef De Partie to join our Dubai kitchen, supporting the Head Chef with daily operations and ensuring top-quality dishes. You will manage mise-en-place, help implement new menu items, and uphold cost controls and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will monitor stock, assist in training junior staff, and provide flexible coverage across sections during busy periods, while maintaining cleanliness and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven work experience in a similar field with a known F&B property.
• Ability to travel and adapt to a multi-cultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards as specified work in accordance with the Head Chef’s/Operations Manager instructions.
• Liaise with the Head Chef/Operations Manager and implement new menu/dishes/systems where applicable.
• Aiding in achieving food cost, kitchen standard and overall objectives.
• Maintaining and achieve a high standard of food quality, preparation, production and to assist in service under guidance from your Sous Chef or the Head Chef.
• Completing your mise-en-place in a timely manner.
• Being fully aware of all the Health and Safety regulations.
• Being fully aware of all hygiene control and chemicals.
• Keeping high standards of cleanliness on section where employed, also to assist in any job regarding hygiene, cleanliness asked for by Sous Chef / Head Chef/ Operations Manager.
• Monitoring stock movement and the ordering processes.
• Having a committed approach to the development of creative service in the kitchen.
• Carrying out any reasonable duty to assistant smooth operations in the kitchen.
• To assist on other sections or help with other duties when the kitchen is short staffed, in emergencies, and/or when required.
• Attending all scheduled mandatory meetings and suggest improvements.
• Reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions to direct superiors.
• Helping the Demi Chef De Partie and the Commis chefs learn to improve their ability.
• Ensuring that knowledge of the product is maintained and communicated to all relevant personnel.
• Complying with all Company policies.
• Being responsible, whilst liaising with the Head Chef / Operations Manager for your own development
• Aiding in achieving food cost, kitchen standards and overall objectives.
• Monitoring stock movement and be responsible for ordering for your section.
