Job summary

Vesla Rent A Car in Dubai is seeking a skilled Car Mechanic to join our rental fleet. You will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to keep vehicles safe and ready for rental.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of hands-on automotive experience, a relevant diploma or certificate, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced workshop environment. You will coordinate with the workshop team, maintain service records, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Automotive Technology preferred.
• Hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in rental vehicles.
• Inspect engines, brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems and other components.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and repairs.
• Maintain accurate servicing and repair records and ensure vehicles are roadworthy.

Reporting To: Workshop Supervisor / Branch Manager

Salary: AED 3,000-6,000 per month, based on experience and skills

Day Off: 1 day per week

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled, experienced, and reliable Car Mechanic to join our car rental team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, preferably within a car rental company or automotive workshop.

The successful candidate will help maintain our fleet in excellent working condition, minimize vehicle downtime, and ensure vehicles are safe and ready for rental.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform routine vehicle servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in rental vehicles.
• Inspect engines, brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and other vehicle components.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and unexpected repairs.
• Identify faults and recommend appropriate repair solutions.

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose engine warning lights and mechanical faults.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle problems.
• Troubleshoot starting issues, overheating, unusual noises, and performance problems.
• Inspect vehicles before and after maintenance or repairs.

Fleet Maintenance & Coordination

• Maintain vehicles according to service schedules and company requirements.
• Coordinate with the fleet and operations teams regarding vehicle availability and repair priorities.
• Report major mechanical issues and recommend replacement parts when required.
• Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, and spare parts used.
• Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and ready for rental after repairs.

Workshop Safety & Quality

• Follow workshop safety procedures and proper tool-handling practices.
• Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards.
• Keep the workshop and tools clean and organized.
• Complete assigned jobs within the required time frame.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma, certificate, or technical qualification in Automotive Technology or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 2-5 years of hands‑on experience as a car mechanic.
• Experience in a car rental company or automotive workshop is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and automotive equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and fleet servicing.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple repair jobs.
• Responsible attitude, attention to detail, and strong problem‑solving skills.
