Job summary

Rixos Hotels in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Captain Waiter to lead fine-dining service in our luxury restaurant. You will supervise staff, coordinate front-of-house operations, and ensure flawless guest experiences for discerning guests.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in upscale hotels or fine dining, strong beverages knowledge, and exceptional communication under pressure. Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus. Join a team committed to exceptional hospitality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in upscale restaurants, luxury hotels, or fine-dining establishments.
• Previous experience in a Captain Waiter, Chef de Rang, or senior waiter position is preferred.
• Strong understanding of fine-dining service standards and etiquette.
• Excellent food, wine, and beverage knowledge.
• Experience supervising and guiding junior service staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining exceptional service standards.
• Professional appearance, grooming, and hospitality mindset.

• Supervise and coordinate Commis Waiters and other service team members.
• Delegate duties effectively and ensure all team members understand their responsibilities.
• Brief the team before each service, communicating reservations, VIP guests, special requests, and menu changes.
• Monitor team performance and provide coaching and on-the-job training.
• Lead by example, maintaining high standards of grooming, punctuality, discipline, and professionalism.
• Ensure smooth communication between the front-of-house and kitchen teams.
