Job summary

Rotana Ras Al Khaimah - The Mangroves is seeking a dynamic Food & Beverage Captain to lead service at the outlet. You will provide professional, guest-focused service, supervise the service team, and ensure the outlet runs smoothly according to the hotel standards.

You must have a hospitality diploma or degree and up to two years of relevant experience, strong English, and familiarity with Micros. Prior leadership experience is a plus; multicultural teamwork is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in hospitality is preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and spoken English is required.
• Familiarity with Micros software and some leadership/ supervisory exposure is a plus.

We are currently looking for dynamic, self‑motivated Food & Beverage professionals who want to advance their careers. As a Captain you are responsible for providing professional and customer‑focused service to our guests, ensuring their stay becomes a memorable experience. Your role will include the following key responsibilities:

• Perform all necessary tasks to service food & beverage according to the hotel’s standard performance manual.
• Acquire in‑depth knowledge of the outlet’s menu to assist and advise guests.
• Practice good customer relations and attend to complaints and queries satisfactorily.
• Ensure the outlet is set‑up for service and supervise for smooth operation.
• Direct and supervise the service team to ensure all duties are performed to standards.
• Ensure colleagues receive adequate training to perform their duties.
• Organise, plan, and control supplies, maintaining a concise record of beverage stock to ensure availability.
• Minimise wastage, breakage and spoilage.
• Actively employ upselling techniques to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue.

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally have a diploma or degree in hospitality with up to two years of experience in a similar role. You must possess good written and spoken English and should be familiar with Micros. Previous experience in minor leadership and supervisory roles is a definite plus.
