Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Draftsman to support the design and preparation of detailed drawings for stormwater sewerage and microtunneling projects in Dubai. The candidate should be proficient in MicroStation, AutoCAD and Civil 3D with UAE experience related to RTA and DM approvals.

You will interpret designs, produce as-built drawings, coordinate with engineers and inspectors, manage drawing revisions, and maintain project document control according to authority standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering Drafting or CAD Design from a recognized institution.
• Proficient in MicroStation AutoCAD and Civil 3D drafting software (latest versions).
• Knowledge of RTA DM DEWA and other authority drafting standards for infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise technical drawings layouts and as-built documentation using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Interpret design inputs from engineers and translate into detailed and coordinated construction drawings.
• Review update and maintain drawings in compliance with project specifications authority requirements (RTA DM DEWA) and AECOM quality standards.
• Track and verify existing sewerage stormwater and irrigation networks in Dubai using as-built records from Drainage (DS) Irrigation (IRR) and Roads projects.
• Conduct site surveys and coordinate with inspectors to verify construction progress and collect data for as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers inspectors and document control teams to ensure timely submission and approval of drawings.
• Update and prepare redline markups section details pipeline profiles and microtunneling shaft layouts based on field data.
• Maintain archive and digital record system for all project drawings and revisions.
• Review contractors as-built and shop drawing submissions to verify compliance with site conditions.
• Provide drafting support during construction to reflect approved changes and site execution.
• Support the preparation of utility coordination drawings ensuring accuracy across services.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Draftsman with strong expertise in MicroStation AutoCAD and Civil 3D to support the design and preparation of detailed drawings for stormwater sewerage and microtunneling projects. The ideal candidate will have 7 years of UAE experience particularly with RTA and DM-approved projects and a solid understanding of local authority standards and utility coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise technical drawings layouts and as-built documentation using the latest versions of MicroStation and AutoCAD.


• Interpret design inputs from engineers and accurately translate them into detailed and coordinated construction drawings.


• Review update and maintain drawings in compliance with project specifications authority requirements (RTA DM DEWA) and AECOM quality standards.

• Ensure all drawing deliverables meet AECOM and authority CAD standards including layering scaling and title block consistency.

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering Drafting or CAD Design from a recognized institution.


• Proficient in MicroStation AutoCAD and Civil 3D drafting software (latest versions).


• Knowledge of RTA DM DEWA and other authority drafting standards for infrastructure projects.


• Familiarity with survey data integration GIS and utility coordination is an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure drafting particularly for stormwater sewerage and microtunneling projects.


• Proven experience in preparing as-built drawings utility layouts and pipeline profiles.


• Prior UAE experience preferably within Dubai involving RTA and DM-approved projects.
