Job description

Position Overview

Senior CAD Draftsman - Roads and Infrastructure Projects at AECOM Dubai supports major transportation and infrastructure developments by preparing high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings. This role ensures accurate drafting, revision control, and multidisciplinary coordination while complying with UAE authority standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings including plans, profiles, sections, and technical details
Develop construction drawings based on IFC, tender, and authority-approved documentation
Update drawings according to site conditions, RFIs, and client or engineer feedback
Coordinate with engineers, planners, inspectors, and project teams to integrate design revisions
Ensure compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, and company CAD standards
Maintain drawing registers, version control systems, and standardized file naming procedures
Produce accurate as-built drawings based on approved redlines and site records
Assist in preparation of shop drawings, utility layouts, and coordination drawings
Perform quantity take-offs and measurements from technical drawings when required
Submit drawings in accordance with approved project timelines
Manage archiving and retrieval of electronic and hardcopy drawing records
Support coordination between civil, structural, MEP and utilities disciplines
Adhere to QA and QC procedures and drafting best practices

Ideal Profile

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
6 to 10 years of drafting experience in infrastructure or transportation projects
