Job summary

Dorchester Collection in Dubai is seeking a dedicated Butler to deliver personalized service and ensure guests receive the highest standards of hospitality.

You will coordinate with Front Office and F&B, ensure rooms are prepared, and manage guest requests with a proactive, guest-first approach while upholding our We Care philosophy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Certified butler with experience in luxury 5-star environments.
• Minimum 1 year in a similar role; Middle East experience preferred.
• Proficient in PMS, payroll systems, and basic computer operations.
• Excellent guest service ethic and ability to work across departments.
• English fluency; Arabic language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and personalized service to ensure guests have the best experience.
• Be knowledgeable about in-suite services, technology, amenities, hotel services and city activities.
• Ensure guest rooms are ready on time and fulfill special requests with other departments.
• Receive and assist guests from arrival to departure as the main contact during their stay.
• Handle packing/unpacking and in-room service, coordinating with F&B and Front Office for seamless access.
• Address guest concerns professionally to ensure positive outcomes.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of assigned work areas and equipment.

What you’ll do

• You are responsible to provide professional and personalized service to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
• You should be knowledgeable of in‑suite services, technology and amenities, hotel services and city‑wide activities.
• You will ensure the allocated guest rooms are ready on time, and all special requests have been prepared. Work with other departments, notably front office, and Food & Beverage, to manage our guests’ requests.
• Receive guests in a professional and friendly manner, exceeding guest expectations from arrival through to departure. Act as a point of contact for the guest during their stay, assisting with any arrangements or requests of the guests.
• You will be responsible for packing, unpacking, serving Food & Beverage requirements in the room and liaising with other departments to have seamless access and service to the suite/rooms.
• You will assist guests and handle any guest concerns in a professional manner and ensure a positive outcome.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and proper handling of assigned work areas, equipment, and materials.

• You will be knowledgeable of PMS, payroll and purchasing systems and be computer literate.
• Communication keeps our department running perfectly. You have great communication skills with a strong guest service ethic.
• English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language. Additional languages such as Arabic are preferred.
• You will have at least 1 year’s experience in a similar position in a luxury 5‑star brand; pre‑opening experience would be advantageous. Middle East experience would be advantageous.
• You must be a certified butler professional.
