Job summary

Naffco in Dubai seeks a skilled Draughtsman – BMS to design and deliver high-quality BMS drawings. You will produce shop drawings, schematics, wiring layouts and as-built documentation for complex building management projects.

The role requires AutoCAD expertise, Revit/BIM experience, and strong coordination with MEP and site teams to ensure clash-free, standards-compliant installations in fast-paced projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years BMS drafting and coordination within MEP/BMS projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM experience is a plus.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare BMS shop drawings, schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams, and wiring layouts using AutoCAD and Revit/BIM tools.
• Develop HVAC control drawings for AHU, FCU, Chiller, Ventilation, Exhaust, and Pressurization systems.
• Prepare control panel GA drawings, control schematics, cable routing layouts, and sensor/device location drawings.
• Coordinate with BMS Engineers, HVAC Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and site execution teams for drawing accuracy and project requirements.
• Review mechanical, electrical, and architectural drawings to ensure proper coordination and clash-free BMS installations.
• Modify and update drawings based on consultant comments, client requirements, and site conditions.
• Prepare and submit as-built drawings upon project completion.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, document control records, and drawing submission trackers.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, international standards, consultant requirements, and company procedures.
• Prepare network topology diagrams, control architecture layouts, and communication schematics for BMS systems.
• Assist in quantity take-off and material coordination related to BMS installations and panel requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement, planning, and project teams regarding drawing revisions and material approvals.
• Verify site installation details and update drawings in line with actual execution conditions.
• Support consultant submissions, technical documentation, and drawing approval processes.
• Ensure accurate placement and coordination of controllers, sensors, actuators, valves, and other field devices.
• Assist in preparation of testing & commissioning documentation and O&M drawing packages.
• Work closely with BIM/Revit teams for coordinated MEP and BMS modeling requirements.
• Follow project schedules and ensure timely submission of drawings and technical documents.
• Maintain high standards of drafting quality, accuracy, and document consistency throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Good understanding of HVAC systems, BMS controls, and MEP coordination.
• Familiarity with international standards and consultant submission procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of BMS systems such as Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, Johnson Controls, or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple project submissions.
